2022 Annual Meeting
The resilience of the AACPDM was apparent over the last two years with two very successful online meetings as well as continued engagement of our membership. Now, we are thrilled to welcome you to the 76th Annual Meeting of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, September 21-24. The last two years have presented all of us with many challenges while also creating opportunities for reflection and progress. The meeting theme this year, Make it Matter, represents an opportunity to reflect on how we move forward, together and stronger, from the COVID-19 Pandemic. I believe that our keynote speakers will inspire us all to reflect on meaningful outcomes and approaches to clinical care and research. We hope that the social opportunities, including the Welcome Reception, will provide you all with long-awaited opportunities to reconnect with your friends and colleagues. We are excited to announce that Jerron Herman, professional dancer and one of our keynote speakers, will be performing at the Welcome Reception.
The Friday evening networking dinner and celebration will take place at the breathtaking Keep Memory Alive Event Center. Take in Frank Gehry’s stunning architecture as you enjoy dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck’s culinary team. This innovative event center supports research and clinical care at Cleveland Clinic Nevada and the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. We know this will be a fun evening and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate being together again. We hope to see you there!
The AACPDM encourages and values member engagement and therefore this year we have planned a Meet and Greet with AACPDM Committee Leadership and Board of Directors. If you are a new member and are considering joining a committee, you would like to be more engaged or if you are not a member and are considering membership, please consider attending this informal Meet and Greet Reception in the Exhibit Main Hall prior to the Welcome Reception.
Included in your registration are the Welcome Reception, Morning Seminars, Poster and Exhibit Review, Mini Symposia, and Free Paper Sessions. We are excited about the options that will be available at the meeting, including 120 podium presentations, 99 scientific posters, 32 demonstration posters, 16 clinical observation/single case study posters, 25 morning seminars and 36 mini-symposia. We were impressed by the quality of the submissions and inspired by the diversity of the content and we hope that you will be too. Throughout the meeting, the Adapted Sports and Recreation Committee will also keep us energized with their ‘Let’s Move’ sessions.
We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!
